Bruce-Milton Transmission Proceeding

Hydro One Networks Inc. ( “Hydro One”) is proposing to construct approximately 180 kilometres of double-circuit 500 Kilovolt (“kV”) electricity transmission line adjacent to the existing transmission corridor extending from the Bruce Power Facility in Kincardine Township to Hydro One’s Milton Switching Station in the Town of Milton (the “Bruce-Milton Transmission Project”).

Currently, Hydro One is seeking approvals from the Ontario Energy Board (the “Board”) related to the proposed Bruce-Milton Transmission Project.

Leave to Construct – s. 92 Application On March 29, 2007 Hydro One filed an application (the “Leave to Construct Application”) with the Board under section 92 of the Ontario Energy Board Act (the “Act”). On November 30, 2007, Hydro One amended the leave to construct application due to changes in the proposed route along three segments of the proposed transmission line (the "Amended Leave to Construct Application")..

Entry onto Land (was referred as Access to Land) –s.98 Application On March 30, 2007 Hydro One has filed an application (the “Access Application”) with the Board under section 98 of the Act seeking an Order providing Hydro One and its representatives access to land affected by the proposed Bruce-Milton Transmission Project. The purpose of the entry is limited to legal and engineering surveys, soil testing, property appraisals, biological and archeological surveys and environmental investigations together with route access for testing-related vehicles and equipment. On August 20, 2007, the Board issued its Decision and Order approving this application with conditions.

Entry onto Land -s.98 Application On December 6, 2007, Hydro One has filed with the Board an application under section 98 seeking an Interim Order providing Hydro One and its agents leave to enter on to land affected by the potential route changes in the Camp Creek and Halton Hills areas.
