Apr 23-09

The Board issued an SSS Code amendment to:

  1. address inconsistencies in application of the seasonal change in the RPP tier threshold for condominiums; and 

  2. give effect to changes to O. Regulation 95/05 - extending eligibility for RPP designated consumers until Nov 1/09 (previously May 1/09) and enabling consumers that will cease to be eligible Nov 1st to opt out of RPP in the interim period regardless of whether or not they have an interval meter.

Sep 17-07

The Board issued an amendment to the SSS Code which requires that licensed distributors provide direct notice of their election to implement time-of-use (“TOU”) pricing.

Jun 27-07

The Board issued an amendment to the SSS Code to provide utilities with the ability to implement time-of-use (TOU) pricing on either a mandatory or voluntary basis during the transition period.

The Board issued an amendment to the SSS Code that would allow electricity distributors to implement new pilot projects relating to time-of-use prices.

Jun 9-06

The Board issued an amendment relating to the application of the RPP Settlement amount. It requires a distributor to refund the RPP Settlement amount where the distributor is notified, within 3 months, by or on behalf of a consumer that moves into the distributor's service area that the consumer had an existing retail contract prior to moving and is therefore simply remaining on that contract.

Mar 24-06

The Board issued amendments to the SSS Code that:

  • extend the period under which RPP TOU pricing is voluntary for electricity distributors;
  • require distributors to include the terms "off-peak", "mid-peak" and "on-peak" on the electricity bill of consumers paying RPP TOU prices;
  • amend the definition of "eligible time-of-use meter" to clarify that it includes interval meters; and
  • broaden the scope of situations to which distributors must apply the "final RPP variance settlement".

Aug 22-05 The Board revised the RPP Manual to clarify the days that are to be treated as holidays for purposes of time-of-use (smart meter) RPP pricing
Standard Supply Service Code Jun 16-05 The Board issued amendments to the SSS Code that clarified how the final RPP variance settlement amount is to be presented on the electricity bills of consumers.
